There is no proof to suggest an infectious disease outbreak occurred on a Toronto-bound train that was quarantined Friday after a passenger's death, says Ontario's chief medical officer of health.

"There is no evidence to support an outbreak of infectious disease on the train," said Dr. David Williams.
"One of the passengers died suddenly while onboard the train and while the cause of death continues to be under investigation it has been determined the deceased did most likely not have an infectious disease."

The dead woman, in her 60s, was not part of a tour group of sick passengers from Jasper, Alta.
